Daniel Frederick McGibbon b.1954 Seattle, Washington, USA

I remember as a young child being able to draw from what I saw or my imagination. Almost every artist I have met has said they too have been able to draw at a young age. But, I also believe everybody has the ability to create art in some form.

I have an Associates Degree in Graphic Design where I studied many forms of creating art. I also have an Associates Degree in Printing where I studied how to reproduce my artwork. One of the greatest tools for creating and reproducing art is the computer (Mac) which I have been using to create art since 1988. My computer illustrations are created using the graphics program Adobe Illustrator.

I have worked in the art departments of a silk screen shop, sign shop, print shop and as an Instructional Assistant for Graphic Arts. Over the years I have sold my paintings through Galleries, to friends and over the internet internationally. I also have sold illustrations and graphic design for many different clients as a free lance artist.

I like to use oils and watercolors in my paintings and experiment with different ways to create art.
I also like to sculpt and have created many pieces using different types of stone and wood.

“Creating a great piece of art is an expression of a spontaneous emotional reaction and should inspire some response from the viewer”
